Background

From growing up in Illinois and working with purebred sheep and feedlot lambs, to working with the teaching and research flock at Oklahoma State University and a sheep flock in Maryland as well as his own farm flock in Illinois, there have always been sheep. Sheep to manage, breed, feed, lamb, shear and make profitable.

Mark has been a Purina® Honor® Show National Show Lamb Ambassador since 2005. He has shared his passion, experience and sense of humor with countless 4-H, FFA, youth livestock exhibitors and sheep breeders across the US.

Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from Oklahoma State University. There he worked at the sheep teaching and research center. Mark took on a larger role with Purina® in 2012. Now he works with Purina customers and dealers in parts of Wisconsin and Illinois covering a broad scope of livestock and equine support and sales.

“However, it is getting up to feed sheep every day that gets me out of bed. I like working for brand that supports an industry that is important to me and my family."
