National Reining Horse Association Three Million Dollar Rider, Craig Schmersal, is one of the youngest trainers to attain this status. Craig has also shown horses internationally, developing his reputation as one of the industry's best. In partnership with fellow Purina ambassador, Shawn Flarida, Craig has developed training videos for learning riders to learn winning techniques for horses of all training levels and life stages.

Career highlights include:

  • In 2002, Craig earned a position on the United States Equestrian Team and competed in Jerez, Spain. The team took ome a Gold Medal for the United States. 
  • Craig won the NRHA Open Derby on the horse, Commander's Nic in 2004.
  • Craig flew to Spain in 2005 to win the Gold Medal in the FEI World Reining Masters Open Division on the horse, Tidal Wave Jack.
  • Craig won the NRBC Open Derby Classic, was the NRHA Open Derby Reserve Champion and Boom Sherric in 2010. Craig joined the US Dream Team at the FEI World Games in Kentucky winning Team Gold and Individual Silver medals.
